I bought a home here and moved to St Augustine Beach in 2002. I became a realtor in 2004. Like many of my customers new to the area I did not know by way around very well. It didn’t take long after starting to practice real estate to become familiar with all the roads and shortcuts, subdivisions, new construction, and the market here and more importantly, the great mix of people that live here.
In my 20 years practicing real estate, the market and technology requirements for a realtor have changed over and over. In a previous lifetime I had 2 computer companies in the Phoenix area so that experience makes it pretty easy for me to keep up with all the changes.
I was a director of our St Augustine/Saint Johns MLS for 4 years. St Augustine and the county has changed a lot in my 20 years and the population has grown dramatically. Florida is the #1 state for people moving here from other states and Saint Johns County has been one of the top counties in Florida for people to find a home.
It’s a great place to live with the historic Downtown, incredibly beautiful beaches, lots of great restaurants, and so many activities and events that go on here. St Augustine is a tourist destination! It is wonderful to be living where many tourists save for a year just to spend a week.
